Career

Working mainly in Liverpool and throughout the Northwest for over 15 years as a freelance photographer, I've worked on a variety of commissions. Work is varied and can include, but not limited to, historical and cultural projects, portraiture, photojournalism, corporate and arts sector photography, wedding photography as well as private commissions.

My career has also extended into teaching and developing youth orientated development programs which I began a few years ago, working mainly with the Youth Offending Service and as part of the Life Long learning program.

A thought made visual

My aim with every commission is to convey clients thoughts into images that exceed expectation - creatively, technically and poetically.

A strong image can substitute many words and share a moment or experience so clearly that explanation is not required. I take pride in capturing these key moments.

Photography is a vehicle that can be a means of great exploration and dialogue. It can change outlook and perception, both cultural and aesthetic. This is why achieving these aims through my teaching programs remains meaningful to me and broadening to the young people involved.
